Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A Dahabiya is a traditional Egyptian sailing vessel that offers an intimate, boutique cruise experience on the Nile. Unlike large cruise ships carrying hundreds of passengers, a Dahabiya accommodates only a small group, providing personalized service, private access to secluded islands, and a peaceful, authentic way to discover Egypt.

A standard Nile cruise ship carries 150–300 passengers and follows a fixed group schedule. A Dahabiya like Soul of the Nile carries a maximum of 28 guests, offers fully private service, docks at exclusive locations inaccessible to large ships, and provides a completely personalized itinerary with a private Egyptologist.

Soul of the Nile cruises start from $1,875 per person for the 4-day Aswan to Luxor journey, and from $2,500 per person for the 5-day Luxor to Aswan journey. All prices are full-board and include a private Egyptologist guide and all entry fees.

Yes. The 5-day Luxor to Aswan journey includes a private guided trip to the Temples of Abu Simbel on Day 5, including all transportation and entry fees. This is fully included in the package price at no extra cost.
